For those unfamiliar with the show.
It was named Fred Hall for decades until the current name was rebranded to his son’s name this year.
The Bart Hall Boat Show is a premier event for boating and outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts in North America.
The show features a wide range of watercraft, including sport fishing boats, performance boats, ski boats, cruisers, jet skis, pontoons, motorboats, cabin cruisers, dinghies/inflatables, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more.
The event is held in San Diego and Long Beach.
Visitors can expect to find a variety of marine accessories, casting ponds, seminars, and family-friendly entertainment. The show also offers discounts for seniors and military personnel.
The one we went to was hosted in Long Beach, CA, this past weekend.
It’s nice to see them return after canceling the show in 2022.
Here are some things I’ve noticed at the show this year:
- Smaller – The show floor is much smaller compared to previous years.
- Vendors – A lot of the big-name vendors aren’t there as compared to previous years
- Great For The Whole Family – The event is still great for the whole family with interactive activities, etc.
The whole fam had a great time, and it was nice to be out after a long rainy season so far this year.
Bart Hall Show – Long Beach Mar 29 – Apr 2 2023
Location: Long Beach Convention Center
Address: 300 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90802
There were 6 seminar stages in this year’s shows:
- AccurateFishing.com Seminar
- Daiwa Saltwater Seminar
- Mammoth Lakes Seminar
- Okuma Bass Pond Seminar
- Hobie Fishing Seminar
- Ultimate Air Dog Show
There was also a fly fishing lesson seminar where you could practice your casts in a shallow pool.
The highlight for our kids.
If you have children under the age of 12, there’s a trout pond where kids can catch their own trout.
The air dog show was also a hit for them.
There were well over 300 exhibitors this year, from fishing tackle, marine boats, charter services, and everything in between. You can view the full list here.
